West Indies leveled the series 1-1 after defeating Pakistan by five wickets in the rain-affected second ODI.
The second match of the three-match ODI series was played in Trinidad, where the hosts won the toss and opted to field. Pakistan made three changes to their lineup, bringing in Hasan Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, and Mohammad Abrar, while Faheem Ashraf, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Naseem Shah were left out of the playing XI.
During Pakistan’s innings, the match was interrupted by rain three times and reduced to 37 overs. In the rain-shortened game, the Green Shirts managed to score 171 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted overs.

Under the Duckworth-Lewis method, West Indies were set a target of 181 runs in 35 overs. For Pakistan, Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck, Mohammad Rizwan scored 16, Salman Agha 9, Saim Ayub 23, Abdullah Shafique 26, and Hussain Talat 31. Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten on 36, while Shaheen Afridi was not out on 11.
For West Indies, Jayden Seales claimed 3 wickets, while Roston Chase, Motie, Shamar Joseph, and Blades took one wicket each.
West Indies chased down the 181-run target comfortably in the 34th over, losing five wickets. Roston Chase scored an unbeaten 49, and Justin Greaves remained not out on 26. Rutherford made 45, Shai Hope 32, and Carty 16 runs.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets each, while Abrar Ahmed claimed one.
It is worth noting that Pakistan had won the first match of the series by five wickets. With West Indies’ victory in the second game, the three-match series is now tied 1-1. The decider will be played on Tuesday, August 12.
