Chairman (KPT), Syed Seyedeen Raza Zaidi, stated, “Chess is a game created for intelligent individuals. KPT will continue to oversee the sports activities of players,” in his address as the special guest at the closing ceremony of the Karachi Open Chess Championship held at the KPT Sports Complex. The event featured participants in various categories, including boys and girls.
Special guests included Chairman KPT, Syed Seyedeen Raza Zaidi, General Manager Works KPT Engineer Syed Zahid Hussain, Guest of Honor General Manager Finance KPT Mashood Ahmed Jan, Manager Sports KPT Mahmood Riaz, Information Secretary Pakistan Chess Association Wasee Akhtar Saeed, Chairman Sindh Chess Association Shoaib Bashir Siddiqui, National Chess Champion Zeenobia Waseef, Media Coordinator Kashif Ahmed Farooqi, and others.
Addressing the audience during the prize distribution ceremony, Chairman KPT Syed Seyedeen Raza Zaidi expressed his commitment to the promotion of KPT sports, emphasizing that chess is a game designed for intelligent individuals. He highlighted that chess requires a mental, rather than physical, aptitude, and it serves as a platform for the mental development of youth. He welcomed the significant participation of boys and girls from across Pakistan and announced that KPT will continue to supervise the sports activities of KPT players.
In conclusion, Secretary Sindh Chess Association Syed Waseef Nasar thanked all the guests and presented souvenirs. President Karachi Chess Association Syed Aftab Hussain Jilani, Deputy Chief Arbiter Hassan Mahmood, Ahmed Mujtaba Jilani, and others were also present at the event.
