Karachi: The Pakistani government has granted permission for the national cricket team to travel to India for the Cricket World Cup. Pakistan has expressed concerns about security in India, emphasizing its consistent stance that sports and politics remain separate.

According to details, the Pakistani government has given the national team permission to travel to India for the Cricket World Cup.

The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan has reservations about security in India and will communicate these concerns to the ICC and the Indian government. It is hoped that the Pakistan team will receive adequate security in India.

According to a spokesperson, Pakistan’s decision reflects a constructive and responsible approach. Earlier, India had declined to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

It is worth mentioning that a significant meeting of the committee regarding the national team’s tour to India under the leadership of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto took place a few days ago. This meeting occurred after the PCB’s letter, requesting permission for the national team’s participation in the upcoming World Cup in India.

Furthermore, ICC is facing difficulties in organizing the World Cup, scheduled to be held in India. They have stated that every day brings new challenges, which makes scheduling matches, including venues and dates, challenging.

It is evident that the ICC World Cup will commence on October 5th in India, with Pakistan playing its first match against the Netherlands on October 6th. The Pakistan and India match is scheduled for October 15th in Ahmedabad.
