Signed by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, and witnessed by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in football development, social progress, and youth engagement across Southeast Asia.

As part of the renewed partnership, FIFA announced the launch of the FIFA ASEAN Cup, a new regional tournament inspired by the FIFA Arab Cup. The event will unite national teams from Southeast Asia, promoting football growth and showcasing regional talent on the global stage.
