Four Pakistan players undergo dope tests in Karachi

Four members of the Pakistan squad underwent dope tests ahead of the second Test against Sri Lanka in National Stadium, Karachi on Wednesday.

Urine samples of Pakistan pacers Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah along with batsmen Abid Ali and Fawad Alam were taken by the International Cricket Council (ICC), which is part of the standard process that happens before or during every series.

From the Sri Lanka side, skipper Dimuth Karunaratne, middle-order batsmen Lahiru Thirimanne, Dinesh Chandimal and left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya went through the same process.

Pakistan top-order batsman Ahmed Shehzad was banned for four months for violating anti-doping regulations after he tested positive for a prohibited substance in May last year.
