The domestic cricket season will begin with the Hanif Mohammad Trophy, featuring 12 teams.
The tournament will start on 29 August in Bahawalpur, Multan, Karachi, and Rahim Yar Khan.
A total of 30 four-day non-first-class matches will be played.
The 12 regional teams have been divided into two groups. The top team from each group will qualify for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy first-class tournament.
Each team will play five matches, and the event will run from 29 August to 25 September.
Group A: Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Karachi Whites, Lahore Blues, and Quetta Region.
Group B: Dera Murad Jamali, FATA, Karachi Blues, Larkana, Multan, and Rawalpindi Region.
The opening tournament of the 2025-26 domestic season is named after legendary former Test captain Hanif Mohammad, who scored 3,915 runs in 55 Test matches for Pakistan between 1952 and 1969.
Hanif Mohammad was the first Pakistani to score a triple century in Test cricket and was inducted into the PCB Hall of Fame in 2020.
