HEC Chairman Commends Sports Teams for Winning Medals at National Championships

Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) sports teams have brought home multiple medals from various national championships, earning recognition from Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of HEC.

The HEC teams demonstrated their prowess in different sports, claiming a silver medal in the 60th National Badminton Championship, a bronze medal in the Women National Volleyball Championship, and another bronze medal in the 14th Tug of War National Championship.

The HEC women’s team also made their mark in the 10th National Archery Championship, securing a bronze medal, while their male counterparts claimed the fourth position. In the 17th HEC Women’s Baseball Championship, the HEC team won a bronze medal, and Aram Barkat, one of the players, received the “Best Player of the Championship” title.

HEC’ men’s swimming team also performed exceptionally, winning a bronze medal in the 100-meter freestyle at the National Swimming Championship.

Chairman HEC, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, expressed his appreciation for the HEC sports division, coaches, team managers, and players for their outstanding performance in various national championships. He assured complete support for promoting sports and extracurricular activities in Higher Education Institutions (HEC) alongside academic pursuits, creating a well-rounded educational environment for university students.

The HEC has been playing a crucial role in facilitating HEC since its inception in 2002. The HEC organizes intervarsity championships and prepares and supports university players for participating in national and international championships, promoting sports activities alongside providing higher education across the country.
