India defeated Korea in the final of the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 to win gold and secure a spot in the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 in Belgium and the Netherlands.
India topped their Super 4s group with seven points, ahead of Korea, Malaysia, and China, setting up a rematch with Korea in the final. This time, India dominated, scoring twice in each half for a 4-1 victory. Dilpreet Singh shone with two goals and was named Player of the Match.
Earlier, Malaysia claimed bronze with a 4-1 win over China.
With this triumph, India became the eighth team to book their place at the 2026 World Cup, joining Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, Spain, Argentina, Germany, and New Zealand.
