The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized two venues Karachi and Rawalpindi to host Test series against Sri Lanka after their cricket board gave positive response for touring cricket loving country in December this year.
According to the sources, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is highly considering an option to accept the PCB’s invite to play two Test matches in Pakistan. The Test series will be a part of ICC Test Championship.
After having fruitful talks with the SLC, the PCB has started planning for the historic event which will mark the return of Test cricket in Pakistan after a gap of 10 years.
The cricket board has decided to not include Lahore as the venue to host a match due to whether conditions there in the month of December. Hence, Rawalpindi and Karachi are lined up to host a Test match each.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PCB successfully hosted Sri Lanka team for three ODIs and T20Is each in Karachi and Lahore respectively earlier this month.
