Lahore Qalandars Beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by 69 Runs in HBL PSL 11 Opener

Lahore Qalandars made a winning start to HBL PSL 11 by defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen by 69 runs in the opening match at Gaddafi Stadium.

Chasing a target of 200, Hyderabad Kingsmen were bowled out for 130 in 19.5 overs. Captain Marnus Labuschagne scored 26, while Saim Ayub made 17. Usman Khan managed 9 runs, Irfan Khan was dismissed for 4 by Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Khan scored 14, and Kusal Perera added just 1 run.

For Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza, and Ubaid Shah took two wickets each.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars posted 199 for 6 in their allotted overs. Fakhar Zaman played a knock of 53 runs off 39 balls, including 10 fours. Mohammad Naeem scored 30, Abdullah Shafique made 4, and Parvez Hossain added 14 runs. Haseebullah Khan contributed 40 runs, while Sikandar Raza scored 24 and Asif Ali made 9.

For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Hasan Khan and Riley Meredith took two wickets each, while Mohammad Ali claimed one wicket.

Speaking after the match, Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi said the team is well-balanced and aimed to start the tournament with a win. Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne stated that the squad includes many talented players and everyone is excited for the event.
