Karachi: Finally, the Sindh government, in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Sindh Olympic Association, has decided to commence the Sindh Games 2024 from February 23, which have been dormant for several years. Now it remains to be seen whether these are truly the Sindh Games or just events held in the name of Sindh Games to make money. In the past, the Department of Sports of the former Sindh government had been ridiculing the youth of Sindh under the pretext of Sindh Games for many years, while the Sindh Olympic Association, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, continued to engage the youth athletes with enthusiasm. In any case, the vigilant government of Sindh, under the provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, who himself is a young athlete and takes keen interest in sports, has made it possible to organize the Sindh Games, which the previous government could not do. In this regard, announcements have been made by various committees of Sindh. Muhammad Asghar Baloch, President of the Sindh Boxing Association and Associate Secretary of the Sindh Olympic Association, and Kashif Ahmed Farooqi, who have the expertise in working as a media coordinator for various sports, have been appointed as the Media Coordinators for Sindh Games 2024. The opening ceremony of the Sindh Games will be held on Friday, February 23, at the National Coaching Centre in Karachi.  Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association, has

appointed Gulfaraz Ahmed Khan as the Chief D Mission of Karachi Division and Shahid Masood as the Secretary.
