Namibia and Zimbabwe Qualify for T20 World Cup 2026

Namibia and Zimbabwe have secured their spots in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Zimbabwe advanced to the final of the Africa Region Qualifying Round, ensuring qualification along with Namibia from the African region.

Earlier, in the ICC Europe Qualifier, Italy qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time, while the Netherlands also booked their place from Europe.

According to the ICC, a total of 20 teams will participate in the T20 World Cup scheduled for next year. Hosts India and Sri Lanka have already qualified, along with Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, USA, and New Zealand all of whom reached the Super Eight stage of the previous World Cup.

Pakistan, New Zealand, and Ireland have directly qualified for the tournament based on their ICC T20 International rankings.

The remaining three spots for the T20 World Cup 2026 will be filled by one team from the Americas region and two teams from the Asia/East Asia-Pacific region.
