Nolberto Solano’s Appointment Marks Historic Step for Pakistan Football, Says PFF President

President of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Syed Mohsin Gillani, has stated that a coach of such international caliber has never been appointed in the history of Pakistan football. He expressed these views during a media talk in Lahore alongside newly appointed head coach, Nolberto Solano. Gillani said that Solano’s presence is not only a golden opportunity for the national team but also for local coaches to learn and grow. He added that Solano’s vast experience will play a key role in promoting modern football in Pakistan. Furthermore, he revealed that both FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have assured their full support in the development of football in the country. I want to thank PFF President Syed Mohsin Gillani for giving me this opportunity. It is a great responsibility and a big challenge for me,” Solano said. He acknowledged the challenges facing Pakistan football but added, “In the few days I’ve spent in the camp, I’ve seen an incredible amount of talent. The players are passionate and eager to play football.” Solano further stated that their current focus is on the U-23 squad, and they are fully committed to giving their best with hard work and determination.:
