According to the organizers, retired and non-contracted players from six major cricketing nations, including England, India, Pakistan, Australia, the West Indies, and South Africa, will participate in the World Champion League 2024. Among these players will be those who previously participated in the Champions Trophy held in Birmingham in 2017, which featured Pakistan and India.
The director of Zabava Entertainment, Harshit Tomar, has stated that this tournament will bring traditional rivals Pakistan and India back on the field. England has always been a hub for cricket, and the city of Birmingham, which has a significant Pakistani and Indian population, will have the opportunity to witness top-level cricket for 10 days.
This league is scheduled to take place during the summer of 2024, but it is contingent on announcements from the England Cricket Board and the English domestic schedule, which is expected to be released in November 2023.
