Star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi poised for thrilling comeback to international cricket

Lahore :Pakistan announces full-strength squads for T20I and ODI home series against New Zealand, with Babar Azam leading and Shadab Khan as his deputy. The teams will attend a training camp in Lahore from 7 April before the series kicks off in Lahore on 14 April. The series will be played in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi from 14 April to 7 May, with online tickets available at www.pcb.bookme.pk.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, who missed international cricket for four months due to injury, is set to make a comeback and has been named in both the T20I and ODI squads. He delivered a spectacular performance in the HBL Pakistan Super League 8, inspiring Lahore Qalandars to defend their title and scoring 133 runs and grabbing 19 wickets at an economy-rate of 9.13. Along with Shaheen, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Rizwan will also return to the squads after being rested for the recent T20I series against Afghanistan.

The T20I squad includes three young talents – Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, and Zaman Khan – who have been retained following their impressive performances in Sharjah. Ihsanullah has also been added to the ODI squad for the first time in his career.

Pakistan fans can look forward to an exciting home series against New Zealand, featuring some of the country’s most talented cricketers.
