The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expressed its appreciation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the International Cricket Council (ICC), and all stakeholders for their constructive efforts in addressing recent challenges faced by Bangladesh cricket.
In an official statement, the BCB particularly acknowledged PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the PCB Board, and cricket fans in Pakistan for their unwavering support. The statement noted that the PCB displayed exemplary sportsmanship and solidarity throughout the difficult period.
BCB President Md Aminul Islam said Bangladesh was deeply touched by Pakistan’s willingness to go beyond expectations in extending support. He described the relationship between the two cricketing nations as a strong bond of brotherhood and hoped it would continue to grow.
Referring to his recent short visit to Pakistan, Aminul Islam added that, in light of the positive discussions held, he has requested Pakistan to play the scheduled ICC T20 World Cup match against India on 15 February for the overall benefit of the global cricket ecosystem.
