Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Syed Mohsen Gilani met with U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Ms. Natalie A. Baker in a significant discussion aimed at strengthening cooperation through football and projecting a positive image of Pakistan globally.
The meeting, held under the U.S. Mission’s “Freedom 260 – Let Freedom Ring” initiative, highlighted the PFF’s renewed direction under its current leadership, with a strong focus on youth development and grassroots football backed by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Sports.
Ms. Baker appreciated the visible progress made by the federation in recent months, noting increased fan engagement and government support. Both sides agreed to work closely on the promotion of women’s football, elite youth programs, and activities linked to the FIFA World Cup 2026, which the United States will co-host.
President Gilani reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the World Cup campaign and said football can play a vital role in cultural exchange and international goodwill.
