World-renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has matched yet another world record. On Tuesday, Portugal defeated Hungary 3-2 in their FIFA World Cup Qualifier.
Ronaldo scored a brilliant goal in the match, taking his tally to 39 goals in World Cup Qualifiers — equaling Guatemala’s Carlos Ruiz as the all-time leading scorer in the competition.
In addition, the 40-year-old now has 141 international goals, the most by any player for Portugal.

Just last month, Ronaldo reached another historic milestone when he scored in the Saudi Super Cup final for Al-Nassr against Al-Ahli. That goal marked his 100th for Al-Nassr, making him the first player in history to score 100 or more goals for four different clubs.
