Australia Clinch Sultan of Johor Hockey Title After Beating India 2-1

Australia defeated India 2-1 to win the Sultan of Johor Cup in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The thrilling final of the six-nation international hockey tournament saw both teams display exceptional skill and determination.

Australia’s Grobbelaar N. opened the scoring in the 13th minute to give his team the lead, but India’s Eka Anmol equalized just four minutes later in the 17th minute.

Both teams launched several aggressive attacks in the second half in search of the lead, but neither could break the deadlock until the final moments. In the 59th minute, Grobbelaar N. struck again, scoring his second goal to secure a 2-1 victory for Australia, who successfully held off India’s late efforts.

Defending champions Great Britain finished third after defeating Pakistan 3-2, while hosts Malaysia claimed fifth place with a 5-3 win over New Zealand. Pakistan’s Sufyan Khan emerged as the tournament’s top scorer with nine goals.
