Preparations for the new 10-year Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise agreements have entered the final stage. Representatives of PSL’s chartered valuation firm met with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the process.

The meeting was also attended by PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer and Chief Operating Officer Sameer Syed. During the meeting, the valuation firm presented the PSL valuation report to the PCB Chairman.

Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the report in detail, asked several questions regarding the valuation process, and directed the firm to hold meetings with all existing franchises.

He instructed that the new franchise agreements be finalized at the earliest, emphasizing that they will be based on the latest valuation report, which will determine the updated market value of each franchise.

It is noteworthy that the contracts of the six existing PSL franchises expire in December. The number of franchises is expected to increase to eight, and according to the PCB, new agreements will only be signed with eligible franchises.
