India defeat Pakistan by 90 runs in Under-19 Asia Cup

India beat Pakistan by 90 runs in the Under-19 Asia Cup match played in Dubai. Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first.

Batting first, India posted 240 runs before being bowled out in 46.1 overs. Aaron George top-scored with a splendid 85, while Ayush Mahatre contributed 38 and Kanishk Chauhan added a valuable 46 runs.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Siyam and Abdul Subhan claimed three wickets each, while Naqib Shafiq picked up two wickets.

In reply, Pakistan were bundled out for 150 runs while chasing a target of 241. Huzifa Ahsan fought hard with a well-made 70, but none of the other batters managed to stay at the crease for long.

India’s Dipesh Devendran delivered an impressive bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for just 16 runs. Kanishk Chauhan and Kishan Singh supported well, claiming two wickets each.

Dipesh Devendran was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding spell.

The toss was delayed due to rain, and the match was reduced to 49 overs per innings.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan had won their opening match against Malaysia.
