A high-level delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) visited Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore yesterday to review the construction work and the finishing phase of the stadium.
The delegation included Head of Events Sarah Edgar, GM Cricket Wasim Khan, and other officials from the Broadcast and Events departments.
The delegation observed the construction of the offices in the main building and the finishing work of the pavilions.
Pakistan Cricket Board’s Director of Infrastructure, Javed Qazi, briefed the ICC delegation and assured that all finishing work would be completed by January 30.
It is noteworthy that the ICC Champions Trophy will begin in Pakistan on February 19, while India will play all its matches in the UAE.
