In the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, the Nigerian team secured an upset victory over New Zealand.

In a rain-affected 13-over match, Nigeria scored 66 runs. In response, the New Zealand team could only manage 63 runs for 6 wickets.

In a thrilling contest, Nigeria won by 2 runs. Nigeria’s captain, Leke Piti, scored 19 runs, while Lillian Ude made 18 runs off 22 balls. No other player reached double figures.

The Kiwi women’s team required 5 runs off the final ball, but they could only score 2 runs.

Piti bowled 2 overs for just 13 runs, although she didn’t pick up any wickets. Ossain Pace, Adeshola, and Owe each took 1 wicket.
