Argentina continues to dominate the FIFA World Ranking, holding on to the first position. Their recent victories against Australia and Indonesia in friendly matches have helped them solidify their role as world leaders. The top three positions remain unchanged, with the reigning world champions leading the pack, followed by France in second place and Brazil in third.
However, there have been some changes below the top three. England and Belgium have swapped places, with England now in fourth and Belgium in fifth. Croatia and the Netherlands have also exchanged positions, with Croatia now in sixth and the Netherlands in seventh. The USA, newly crowned CONCACAF Nations League champions, have climbed two spots to reach 11th place, closing in on the top 10. Spain manages to hold onto the 10th spot due to their victory in the UEFA Nations League.
Significant movements have also occurred further down the ranking. Wales and Côte d’Ivoire have dropped in the standings, while Ukraine, Scotland, and Armenia have made notable progress. Slovakia, Greece, and Mali have rejoined the top 50, and Mauritania and India have returned to the top 100. Kazakhstan, with a remarkable climb of eight places, has reached 104th position. Other notable climbers include Togo, Tanzania, and Moldova.
The biggest point increase belongs to Armenia, with a gain of 28.5 points, while Kazakhstan has made the biggest jump in terms of positions, climbing eight places. Wales experienced the largest drop in points, losing 32.9, and also fell nine places in the ranking.
The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on July 20, 2023.
