Azaan Owais Scores Century on Test Debut for Pakistan Against Bangladesh in Dhaka Test

Play continued on the third day of the Dhaka Test between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team. Pakistan resumed their first innings at 179 for 1 on Saturday.

For Pakistan, Azaan Owais resumed his innings on 84 runs, while Abdullah Fazal continued from 37. Debutant Azaan Owais went on to score a brilliant century in his very first Test match and was dismissed in the first session after making 103 runs.

Pakistan then lost their third wicket at 226 when captain Shan Masood was dismissed for 9 runs. In the very next over, Pakistan lost another wicket at 227 as Saud Shakeel was out for a duck.

At a total of 230 runs, Abdullah Fazal returned to the pavilion after scoring 60 runs, leaving Pakistan five wickets down.

Earlier, Bangladesh were bowled out for 413 runs in their first innings. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 101, while Mominul Haque made 91 and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 71 runs.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas claimed five wickets, while Shaheen Afridi took three. Nauman Ali and Hasan Ali picked up one wicket each.

Azaan Owais became the 14th Pakistani batter to score a century on Test debut. He completed his hundred off 153 balls with the help of 14 boundaries before being dismissed for 103.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Fazal also impressed by scoring a half-century in his debut Test match. He remained unbeaten after scoring 50 runs off 102 balls.
