Pakistan Hockey Federation Announces Zero Tolerance Policy for Anti-Doping Violations in National Camps

The Pakistan Hockey Federation has announced a strict zero tolerance policy against violations of anti-doping regulations in national junior and senior hockey camps.
In a major step to protect players health and maintain the integrity of the sport, the federation has ordered the strict implementation of Anti- Doping rules in the ongoing national hockey camps in Lahore and Islamabad. The new guidelines were issued on the special instructions of PHF President Muhyuddin Ahmad Wani.
According to the official directive, no leniency will be shown towards players found involved in- doping or attempting to avoid testing procedures. Such players will be immediately suspended from the camp and face strict disciplinary action.
The federation stated that international anti-doping regulations set by World Anti Doping Agency and International Hockey Federation are extremely strict, and compliance is essential not only for Pakistan’s reputation but also for the players careers.
All players will be required to submit written undertakings confirming full compliance with the World Anti -Doping Agency Code. Random doping tests may be conducted at any time during the training camps, while WADA officials will closely monitor players throughout the camp period.
In addition, weekly educational sessions will be organized to raise awareness among players regarding banned substances and anti-doping regulations.

Camp commandants and coaches have also been directed to ensure that no player is able to evade the testing process.
PHF President Muhyuddin Ahmad Wani said that doping-related incidents damage Pakistan’s image at the international level. He emphasized that transparent and mandatory doping testing is essential to uphold the glorious traditions of Pakistan hockey. The new directives have come into immediate effect.
