Azlan Shah Cup: Pakistan and Japan share honors after thrilling encounter

After a thrilling encounter between Pakistan and Japan in the 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup ongoing in Malaysia, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the city of Ipoh, Malaysia, in their third match of the ongoing Azlan Shah Cup, Pakistan faced a one-goal deficit until the 59th minute of the match, scored byKen Naga Yoshi of Japan in the 33rd minute of the game.

In the dying moments of the match from Pakistan’s end, Rana Waheed Asraf equalized the score through a penalty corner goal, thus leveling the match at 1-1.

Both Pakistan and Japan are positioned at the top of the points table with 7 points each. Pakistan holds a superior goal average.

Pakistan will play its fourth match against Canada today according to Pakistani time, scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM.

It is worth noting that Pakistan won their first match of the tournament against hosts Malaysia by 4-5 while in the second match they won against South Korea by 0-4.
