Bangladesh Beat Pakistan by 8 Wickets, Take 1–0 Lead in the Series

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets to take a 1–0 lead in the series after successfully chasing a target of 115 runs. The hosts reached the target in 15.1 overs with the loss of just two wickets at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz won the toss and opted to field first.
Pakistan opened the innings with Sahibzada Farhan and Muaz Sadaqat. Farhan scored 27 runs before getting out, while Shamyl Hussain managed only 4 runs. Muaz Sadaqat, playing the first match of his career, contributed 18 runs.
Bangladesh bowlers dominated the match and dismantled Pakistan’s batting lineup, bowling the team out for 114 runs in 30.1 overs, which is Pakistan’s lowest ODI total against Bangladesh.

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf was the top scorer with 37 runs. Mohammad Rizwan made 10, Salman Agha 5, Hussain Talat 4, Abdul Samad 0, Shaheen Afridi 4 and Mohammad Wasim 0, while Abrar Ahmed remained not out on 0.
For Bangladesh, Nahid Rana delivered the best bowling performance of his ODI career, taking 5 wickets for 24 runs, while captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up 3 wickets for 29 runs.
Four Pakistani players made their ODI debut in the match — Sahibzada Farhan, Muaz Sadaqat, Abdul Samad and Shamyl Hussain, all playing their first One Day International for Pakistan.
