In a historic move for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the team Multan Sultans has appointed former Irish cricketer Catherine Dalton as their fast bowling coach. This marks the first-ever appointment of a female coach in the history of PSL.
Catherine Dalton, originally from England, obtained Irish citizenship in 2015 and has played four One-Day Internationals and four international T20 matches. She is now the first female bowling coach for a PSL team.
In addition to her coaching roles, Catherine Dalton is an ICC Level 3 advanced coach and has also worked as a coach at the National Fast Bowling Academy in England.
She has previously worked with the Pace Foundation, where she coached bowlers like India’s Deepak Chahar.
Upon receiving coaching responsibilities at Multan Sultans, Catherine Dalton expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to work with Multan Sultans in the PSL. I have worked with Multan Sultans before and am passionate about this opportunity.
