Former PCB Chairman and renowned diplomat Shahryar M. Khan has passed away in Lahore.

Shahryar Khan served as the manager of the national cricket team, Chairman of the PCB twice, and also as the Foreign Secretary.

Shahryar M. Khan was born on March 29, 1934, in Lucknow, India. He pursued his initial education there and then obtained higher education in England. After the partition of India, Shahryar Khan’s family migrated to Pakistan and settled in Karachi.

Shahryar M. Khan was a distinguished diplomat. He served as Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary and also held the positions of manager of the national cricket team and Chairman of the PCB twice. He was the nephew of the late Indian Cricket Team captain Nawab Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and an expert in Pakistan-India cricket diplomacy.

on Saturday, Shahryar Khan fell ill suddenly at his home at around 4 o’clock in the morning and subsequently passed away. He was 89 years old. He leaves behind a widow and four children.
