ICC New Rankings: Babar Azam Tops One Day Internationals

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the new rankings for Test and One Day International (ODI) players, with Babar Azam maintaining his position as the number one ranked player in ODIs.

In the Test players rankings, Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne holds the top spot with 915 points, followed by New Zealand’s Kane Williamson in second place and Australia’s Steve Smith in third place. National team captain Babar Azam has moved up to fourth place after a one-step improvement, while England’s Joe Root has dropped to fifth place after a one-step decline. England’s Jos Buttler has moved up to 18th place after a one-step improvement, and England’s Jonny Bairstow has moved to 23rd place after an 11-step improvement.

In the ODI players rankings, national team captain Babar Azam maintains his top position with 886 points. South Africa’s Quinton de Kock is in second place with 777 points, followed by Fakhar Zaman in third place with 755 points. Pakistan’s Imam-ul-Haq is in fourth place with 745 points. In the ODI batsmen rankings, Australia’s Josh Hazlewood occupies the top spot, while Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi is in 10th place. In the ODI all-rounders rankings, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan holds the top position.
