The final round of the Sindh Open Golf Championship at the DHA Golf Club in Karachi was incredibly captivating. Dilshad Ali, the new champion, faced an intense competition against Muhammad Zubair. Following a thrilling match, Dilshad Ali clinched the Play-Off, overshadowing the previous day’s successful golfer, Muhammad Munir, who faced a setback due to his poor performance. After the completion of 54 holes, both Muhammad Zubair and Dilshad Ali remained tied at a score of 213, leading to a decisive Play-Off. In this playoff, Muhammad Zubair faced a bogey, while Dilshad Ali successfully completed the par, securing victory.
The closing ceremony of the Silver Jubilee Championship was held in a splendid manner. Special guest Khuram Khan, the President of the Sindh Golf Association, distributed prizes among the successful golfers. In the senior professional category, Muhammad Tariq, in the junior category, Muhammad Kashan, in the amateur category, Omar Khalid, and the champion golfer Dilshad Ali were awarded trophies and cash prizes exceeding three hundred thousand. Zabir Hussain, who showcased an impressive performance in Hole-in-One, was also honored with a cash prize.
