MEN’S T20 WORLD CUP: UGANDA SECURES FIRST-EVER QUALIFICATION

Namibia: Uganda clinched a spot in the Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time by qualifying in the qualifiers for the main event.

In the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup 2024 (Men’s) qualifiers, Uganda faced Rwanda and emerged victorious, securing its place in the prestigious tournament. Following this qualification, Uganda is set to participate in the scheduled T20 World Cup events in the West Indies and America next year.

On Thursday, in the African region qualifiers, Uganda effortlessly defeated Rwanda by nine wickets. As a result, Uganda now holds the second position on the points table.

It is worth noting that after this advancement, Zimbabwe has been eliminated from the African region qualifiers for the mega event.
