The glittering trophy for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 has been unveiled at the National Stadium in Karachi. The newly introduced trophy has been named “Infinity.”
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer said that a new era of the Pakistan Super League has begun. He revealed that the league’s main sponsor has extended its agreement for another two years, while five franchises have also extended their contracts for the next ten years.
Addressing the ceremony, Salman Naseer said that franchise owners have played a very important role in the success of the PSL. PSL is a family, and all teams will compete for one trophy, he added.
He further explained that the PSL Season 11 trophy has been designed by a local jewelry company and crafted in a unique style. The colors of the participating teams will be represented in the form of gemstones within the trophy.
The CEO also stated that gold, silver, and copper have been used together for the first time in the making of the trophy. Gemstones collected from different countries have been incorporated to enhance its beauty.
It is worth mentioning that according to the announced schedule, PSL Season 11 will be played from March 26 to May 3, featuring 44 matches. For the first time, eight teams will participate in the tournament.
