National Cricket Team Reaches Colombo via Chartered Flight from Multan

The Pakistan cricket team has arrived in Colombo via a chartered flight from Multan.

In the opening match of the Asia Cup 2023 played in Multan on Wednesday, Pakistan suffered a defeat by 238 runs against Nepal after a one-sided encounter.

The national team, led by captains Babar Azam and Shadab Khan, set a formidable target of 343 runs for Nepal with a splendid batting performance. However, the visiting team managed to dismiss them for 104 runs in the 24th over.

After the opening match, the teams of Pakistan and Nepal flew from Multan to Colombo on a special flight.

Upon arrival in Colombo, the national squad will proceed to Kandy via bus, where the team will rest today.

It should be noted that the crucial match between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup is scheduled to be played on September 2nd in Pallekele, while Nepal’s team will face Sri Lanka on September 4th.

The Asia Cup tournament is being held under the Hyberd model, featuring 4 matches for Pakistan and 9 matches for Sri Lanka.
