Pakistan Crush India by 191 Runs to Win U19 Asia Cup Final

Pakistan defeated India by a massive 191 runs to clinch the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup title. India produced a disappointing performance in the final, as the entire team was bowled out for just 156 runs.

India won the toss and elected to field first against Pakistan.

Batting first, Pakistan posted a commanding total of 347 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs, setting India a target of 348 runs to win the title.

Pakistan’s Samir Minhas played a sensational knock, smashing 172 runs off 113 balls, including 17 fours and 9 sixes. He finished the tournament as the top scorer. Ahmed Hussain contributed 56 runs, Usman Khan made 35, captain Farhan Yousaf scored 19, and Hamza Zahoor added 18 runs. Muhammad Siyam (13*) and Naqab Shafiq (12*) remained unbeaten.

For India, Dipesh Devendran claimed 3 wickets, while Khilan Patel and Henil Patel took 2 wickets each.

Chasing 348, the Indian batting lineup collapsed for 156. Dipesh Devendran top-scored with 36 runs, while Surya Vanshi made 26.

From Pakistan’s bowling unit, Ali Raza starred with figures of 4 wickets for 42 runs. Muhammad Siyam, Abdul Subhan, and Huzaifa Ahsan took two wickets apiece.

Pakistan’s Samir Minhas was named both the Player of the Final and the Player of the Tournament.

This is Pakistan’s second U19 Asia Cup title. Notably, Pakistan and India were declared joint champions in the 2012 edition.
