Second Match Victory with 7 Wickets – Sidra Amin Scores Career-Best 61 Runs

Karachi:The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team has emerged victorious in the T20 series against South Africa Women’s Cricket Team. They secured their second T20 International win with a seven-wicket margin.

It’s worth recalling that the first T20 International played on Friday saw Pakistan Women’s Team clinching a victory with five wickets.

The third and final T20 match is scheduled for Monday.

In the match played at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday, Nida Dar once again won the toss for Pakistan and opted to bat first against South Africa Women.

The host team handed the T20 captaincy to Umme Hani. Shoaib Zulfiqar had been given the T20 captaincy in the first match.

South Africa Women scored 150 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. It’s important to note that they had scored the same total in the first match as well.

In response, the Pakistan Women’s Team achieved the target with just three wickets down in 19.1 overs.

Captain Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits provided another excellent start for their team with a partnership of 74 runs.

Laura Wolvaardt contributed 41 runs with the help of six boundaries and was caught by Fatima Sana off the bowling of Nashra Sandhu.

Brits, who scored 78 runs in the first match, managed to score 46 runs with the help of two fours and one six before getting out to an excellent catch by Bismah Maroof off the bowling of Saadia Iqbal.

Marizanne Kapp scored 26 runs, and Nadine de Klerk was dismissed for 21 runs, which included four boundaries.

Saadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu took one wicket each for Pakistan.

Pakistan Women’s Team lost their first wicket at 23 runs when Shoaib Zulfiqar was caught by Marizanne Kapp off Brits’ bowling. After that, Bismah Maroof and Sidra Amin took the score to 91. Bismah Maroof was bowled by Marizanne Kapp after scoring 27 runs from 26 balls.

Sidra Amin played an exceptional innings, scoring 61 runs from 44 balls, including six boundaries and one six. This is her best individual score in T20 Internationals.

When she was dismissed, Pakistan Women’s Team needed 49 runs from 34 balls to win.

At this stage, Muneeba Ali and Aliya Riaz took Pakistan Women’s Team to victory just like in the first match. They added 54 runs together for the fourth wicket.

Muneeba Ali scored 26 runs from 15 balls, with two boundaries and one six. Aliya Riaz remained not out with 31 runs from 18 balls, including two fours and two sixes.
