World Cup Warm-up Match: Australia Defeats Pakistan

Hyderabad: In the World Cup warm-up match, Australia emerged victorious against Pakistan. In the warm-up match of the World Cup, Australia set a target of 352 runs for Pakistan to win. However, Pakistan’s team managed to score 337 runs.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat, scoring 351 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Glenn Maxwell was the standout performer for the Kangaroos, scoring 77 runs, while Cameron Green contributed with an unbeaten 50. David Warner and Josh Inglis scored 48 runs each, Marcus Labuschagne made 40, Mitchell Marsh scored 31, and Steve Smith contributed 27 runs. On Pakistan’s side, Usama Mir took two wickets, while Muhammad Wasim, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Muhammad Nawaz each took one wicket.

Fast bowler Haris Rauf proved to be the most expensive bowler for Pakistan, conceding 97 runs in 9 overs. In the warm-up match, Shadab Khan captained the team as the vice-captain, while Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were given rest.

Pakistan managed to score 337 runs before being all out. Fakhar Zaman scored 22, Imam-ul-Haq made 16, Abdullah Shafique contributed 12, Shadab Khan scored 9,iftikhar ahmed 83, Babar Azam retired hurt at 90, Mohammad Nawaz scored 50, Agha Salman made 10, Usama Mir contributed 15, Hasan Ali scored 16, and Muhammad Wasim added 4 runs to the total.

From Australia’s side, Pat Cummins took two wickets, Glenn Maxwell and Shane Abbott took one each, while Marcus Labuschagne dismissed two Pakistani batsmen.
