Dubai : Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has teamed up with T10 Global Sports to launch the country’s first franchise-based T10 tournament, the Zim Afro T10. The tournament, set to take place in August this year in Dubai, will see six privately-owned teams competing, with the auction dates and fixtures yet to be announced.
T10 Global Sports, the company behind the Abu Dhabi T10 and Lanka 10, is hoping to attract cricket stars from around the world to participate in the event. ZC Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani believes the fast-paced and dynamic format of T10 cricket will provide great entertainment for fans, top-level competition for players, and vast exposure for investors.
