Announcement of Prize Money for ICC World Cup 2023

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the prize money for the ICC World Cup 2023, totaling a grand sum of 10 million US dollars.

According to the ICC, the team lifting the World Cup trophy will receive 4 million dollars, while the runner-up team will be awarded 2 million dollars. Similarly, the teams losing in the semi-finals will receive 800,000 US dollars each, making the total prize money distribution for the semi-finalists 1.6 million US dollars.

Teams that do not advance beyond the group stage will receive 100,000 US dollars each, and the teams winning matches in the group stage will get 40,000 US dollars per match. In this manner, the total prize money of 1.8 million US dollars will be distributed among the winning teams in the 45 matches in total.

It should be noted that the ICC World Cup will be played in India from October 5th to November 19th.

Prior to the World Cup, the Pakistani team will play two warm-up matches against New Zealand on September 29th and Australia on October 3rd. They will play their first World Cup match against the Netherlands on October 6th.
