Asian Games Hockey: India Defeats Pakistan by 10 Goals

Hangzhou: In the Asian Games hockey event held in the city of Hangzhou, India secured their place in the semi-finals by defeating Pakistan 10-2 in a one-sided match.

The 19th Asian Games featured a one-sided match between Pakistan and India in hockey, where the Indian hockey team, ranked third in the world rankings, displayed superior gameplay, defeating Pakistan, ranked 15th in the world rankings, by a score of 10-2.

Captain Harmanpreet Singh led the Indian side with a hat-trick, scoring four goals. Varun Kumar contributed with two goals, while Shamsher, Lalit Kumar, Sumit, and Mandip Singh each scored one goal.

On the Pakistani side, Rana Waheed and Sufian Khan managed to score one goal each.

This is the first time that India has scored 10 goals against Pakistan, marking India’s biggest victory against Pakistan in hockey.
