Lahore: Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has broken another record previously held by India’s Virat Kohli.
Babar Azam, as captain, has become the fastest player to reach 2,000 runs, achieving this milestone in just 31 innings. Before him, Virat Kohli had completed 2,000 runs as captain in 36 innings.
Babar Azam achieved this feat during the Asia Cup Super Four stage match against Bangladesh in Lahore.
South Africa’s AB de Villiers achieved this milestone in 41 innings, Australia’s Michael Clarke in 47 innings, and India’s MS Dhoni and England’s Eoin Morgan both achieved it in 48 innings.
This accomplishment cements Babar Azam’s status as one of the top batsmen in international cricket and highlights his exceptional captaincy skills.
