Major General Muhammad Akram Sahi (Retired) has been elected as the Chairman of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan, while Nadeem Aftab Sindhu and Colonel Shah Jahan Mir (Retired) have been elected as the President and Secretary-General, respectively.
In Lahore, the elections for the Athletics Federation of Pakistan for the next four years have concluded. The General Council of the federation, under the chairmanship of Major General Muhammad Akram Sahi (Retired), held a meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives from provincial associations (Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh), as well as regional associations from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and representatives from the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan WAPDA, and the Higher Education Commission.
During the meeting, the selection of new office bearers for the Athletics Federation of Pakistan for the next four years was unanimously agreed upon. Major General Muhammad Akram Sahi (Retired) will serve as the Chairman, Nadeem Aftab Sindhu as the President, and Colonel Shah Jahan as the Secretary-General.
