World Cup: South Africa Defeats Australia by 134 Runs for the Second Time

In the 10th match of the ICC World Cup, South Africa secured the top position on the points table by defeating Australia with ease by 134 runs. The entire Australia team was out for 177 while chasing South African target of 312 runs. Labuschagne shone for Australia by scoring 46 runs.

South Africa scored 311 runs at a loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs, with de Kock scoring 109 and Aiden Markram contributing 56 runs.

There was one change in South Africa’s team as Tabraiz Shamsi replaced Keshav Maharaj, while Australia made two changes, bringing in Marcus Stoinis and Josh Inglis in place of Cameron Green and Alex Carey.

It’s worth noting that in this match played at Lucknow’s historic cricket stadium, Australia’s captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to field first.
