Hyder Hussain Replaced by Rana Mujahid as the New Secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has elected former Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali as its new secretary, replacing Hyder Hussain. PHF President Khalid Sajjad Khokhar once again expressed his commitment to reviving hockey in the country.

Under the leadership of PHF President Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, a general council meeting was held in Lahore, attended by 95% of the country’s representatives.

During the meeting, Hyder Hussain’s resignation was accepted, and former Olympian Rana Mujahid was unanimously appointed as the new secretary.

President PHF Khokhar, after the meeting, stated that they aspire to see the national sport rise once more. They are currently in the process of negotiating a long-term contract with Dutch coach Roland Oltmans for the national hockey team.

He further mentioned that despite financial difficulties, they are proceeding with the Premier League, and they will soon organize a hockey league for the betterment of the national sport.

The federation’s president extended his best wishes to Rana Mujahid Ali, stating that his appointment as secretary would be beneficial for Pakistan hockey.
