In the race for the ICC U19 T20 Cricket World Cup title, defending champions India and the undefeated South African team have secured their spots in the final.

In the first semi-final, South Africa defeated Australia by 5 wickets, while in the second semi-final, India comfortably crushed England by 9 wickets to qualify for the final.

At the Bio Mass Oval Cricket Ground in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, South Africa showcased their dominance in the first semi-final. After winning the toss, Australia chose to bat first but managed to post only 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The decision to bat first backfired as South Africa’s women’s team outclassed Australia in all departments—batting, bowling, and fielding. Chasing the modest target of 105, South Africa reached it in 18 overs with 5 wickets in hand, maintaining their unbeaten streak and advancing to the final.

In the second semi-final, defending champions India faced England in a one-sided encounter. England, batting first, scored 113 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Although England started aggressively, the Indian bowlers quickly regained control with a stellar performance, restricting England to a modest total. With strong support from Indian fans in the stands, the Indian team displayed excellent batting skills, chasing down the target with ease. They secured the win with 9 wickets in hand and a comfortable qualification for the final.

The final match of the event will take place on Sunday, February 2, at 2:30 PM local time at the Bio Mass Oval Cricket Ground.
