Karachi Kings suffer consecutive third defeat, Multan Sultans reach playoffs

Usman Khan’s blazing batting propelled Multan Sultans to victory as they defeated Karachi Kings by 20 runs in the 19th match of PSL 9. Usman Khan’s century played a pivotal role in Multan’s win, earning him the title of the match’s best player. Multan Sultans secured their spot in the playoffs with this victory.

Mohammad Rizwan, captain of Multan, won the toss and opted to bat first at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Multan Sultans posted a total of 189 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In response, Karachi Kings could only manage to score 169 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Karachi Kings’ captain Shaan Masood scored 36, all-rounder Shoaib Malik scored 38, Mohammad Nawaz scored 27, and Irfan Khan scored 23 runs.

Before Multan Sultans’ innings of 189 runs, Usman Khan played a crucial role by scoring a century.

Usman Khan scored an unbeaten 106 runs off 59 balls with 5 sixes and 10 fours.

Usman formed a partnership of 148 runs with captain Mohammad Rizwan for the second wicket.

Mohammad Rizwan contributed 58 runs with the help of 5 boundaries.

For Karachi Kings, Muzarabani took 2 wickets and Hassan Ali took 1 wicket.

Karachi Kings made two changes to their team, including batsman Losses de Plooy and fast bowler Mir Hamza.
