Seed 4 Mohamed Zakaria of Egypt secured the 16th Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship title.
In the final match held at the PN Roshan Khan-Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, featuring a prize money of $20,000, Zakaria faced tough competition from wildcard entry Nasir Iqbal. Ultimately, Zakaria emerged victorious, defeating Iqbal 1-3 in the final.
Nasir Iqbal won the first game of the final 11-13, but Zakaria bounced back, winning three consecutive games. The Egyptian player clinched the second game 4-11, equalizing the match at 1-1, followed by winning the third game 5-11, taking the lead 1-2. Zakaria secured victory by winning the fourth game 7-11, ultimately winning the match 1-3.
The champion received $3,085 along with the trophy, while the runner-up earned $1,938.
On this occasion, special guests included the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan Navy, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, who distributed the prizes.
