New Zealand and Pakistan to kick off T20 series in Lahore, marking New Zealand’s first on Pakistani soil

Today marks the opening of a highly-anticipated T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand, with the first match set to take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium at 9 pm. This marks a historic moment for the visiting team, as it is their first T20 series to be held on Pakistani soil.

Over the course of the series, five matches will be played, with the second and third to be held on April 15 and 17 at the Gaddafi Stadium. The fourth T20 match between the two teams will take place in Rawalpindi on April 20, with the final match set to be played on April 24.

Yesterday, the trophy for the series was unveiled in Lahore, with both teams’ captains in attendance. Pakistan captain Babar Azam expressed his confidence in his team’s preparation, while New Zealand captain Tom Latham acknowledged Pakistan’s strength in having many match winners.
