Nolberto Solano Arrives in Pakistan as Head Coach of Men’s and U23 Football Teams

LAHORE – Pakistan men’s and U23 football team head coach Nolberto Solano has arrived in Pakistan. Upon his arrival at the Football House in Lahore, he was warmly received by Acting General Secretary Muhammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar along with the PFF staff.

Expressing his thoughts, Solano said he was delighted to take charge as head coach of both the Pakistan senior men’s and U23 teams. “We believe in the potential of our players, and I will ensure that we move forward collectively. We must work hard both on and off the pitch, with our first target being the AFC U23 Qualifiers in Cambodia. To succeed, we need to stay mentally strong, bring together the best players, and play with passion,” he stated.

Solano also expressed gratitude to PFF President Syed Mohsin Gillani, saying, “I thank President Gillani for giving me this opportunity. I am committed to playing my part in promoting football in Pakistan.”

PFF President Syed Mohsin Gillani, while expressing confidence in Solano, remarked, “Coach Solano brings vast experience and a strong vision. We are confident that he will help transform Pakistan football into a more competitive and stronger team.”

Acting General Secretary Muhammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar added, “This is an important step for us. With Coach Solano, we are determined to build a stronger football structure in Pakistan.
